BIG TEAM REGATTA SAN FRANCISCO 2005 A corporate sailing challenge to benefit youth sailing Hosted & Sponsored by OCSC October 7, 2005 BIG TEAM REGATTA, SAN FRANCISCO 2005 - OCSC joined forces with Group Experiential Learning to be the major sponsor and host of the BIG TEAM REGATTA, SAN FRANCISCO 2005. This corporate sailing challenge at OCSC on October 7 was the Bay's biggest fundraiser for youth sailing that year, with all proceeds directly benefiting the Treasure Island Sailing Center (TISC). Working with numerous Bay Area organizations, TISC's youth and adaptive sailing programs introduce the joy, independence and self reliance of the sport to thousands of kids each year. No matter what socioeconomic background, level, or physical ability, each child in their program develops the life skills of teamwork, communication, decision making and responsibility. TISC offers full or partial scholarships to over 80% of their youth participants and their success depends on the dedication of their sponsors and volunteers.
