On Board Since May 1995 OCSC: Why do you sail? EO: The immediacy of the ocean experience and requirement to endlessly cultivate patience and discipline in practising this ancient art. OCSC: What do you enjoy about working at OCSC? EO: Every truly valuable lesson about sailing I've learned has been taught to me by OCSC students. It's humbling and inspiring to work with people care about the quality of learning. OCSC: What's your sailing background? EO: I learnt to sail with the famous French community sailing program, Glenans, and continued through college, until I decided to go to a trade school for sailing instructors in Ireland. OCSC: When you're not sailing, what can we find you doing? EO: I'm currently Executive Director of the San Francisco Maritime National Park Association, the non-profit support partner to San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park. Our mission is preserve and interpret the maritime heritage of San Francisco and Pacific Coast, in partnership with the National Park Service and USS Pampanito Museum Submarine.
