On Board Since April 2007
OCSC: Why do you sail? WCD: I find sailing to be incredibly peaceful. When I am on the water, with the wind howling in my ear, and the ocean spray in my face, I feel completely content. OCSC: What do you enjoy about working at OCSC? WDC: Undoubtedly, it would be working with everyone on the OCSC Team. That, and the view from the office is pretty nice too… OCSC: What's your sailing background?
WDC: The first time I ever went sailing was with Paul Cayard during a practice run on AmericaOne, the challenger for the 2000 America’s Cup. After that I was hooked. So I started taking classes here at OCSC while in high school. In 2001 I also spent a summer aboard the tall ship S.V. Concordia, a steel hulled barquentine. OCSC: When you're not sailing, what can we find you doing?
WDC: Studying economics at USF, walking my dogs, and thinking about sailing… OCSC: What are your top five sailing books of all time?
WDC: The Sea Wolf; Any of the Patrick O’Brian books; Scuffy the Tugboat (It’s a real classic) |
