OCSC's British Virgin Islands Flotilla

Trip dates: February 19 - March 1, 2009

THE BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS - A Sailor's Paradise

Caribbean SeaStunning beauty, relaxed sailing and endless activities surround you in the British Virgin Islands. Trust the trade winds to carry you to whatever you're looking for. Crystal-clear waters, boulder-formed caves, and picture-perfect beaches combine with oceanfront resorts and restaurants to provide sailors with a colorful wealth of welcomes.

Sailing the Way You Like It

Easy deep-water island-hops, consistent breezes, line-of-sight navigation in protected waters and numerous anchorages for evenings ashore make this the ideal island paradise for less experienced sailors or those who simply want a more relaxed vacation. And you can island hop throughout the BVI without the hassles of customs clearance. No wonder this is our most popular destination.

BVI Cruising

With a cruising area 32 miles long (48 km) and half that in width, the BVI is home to an infinite variety of vacations and the largest fleet of Moorings yachts. Clear waters invite you to glide along a rainbow of coral and fish as you explore the world beneath the surface. Ashore, you'll enjoy the colorful company of waterfront resorts, restaurants, lively nightlife and shopping.

Side Trips, Secrets, Sights and Sounds

Snorkel the caves at Treasure Point on Norman Island, believed to have been the inspiration for Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island. Dive the wreck of The Rhone at Salt Island. And no trip is complete without a visit to The Baths at Virgin Gorda, nature's Stonehenge by the sea. The passage north to Anegada is a uniquely rewarding adventure with a low-lying island of fine beaches and snorkeling sites. Make the journey with our regularly scheduled Passage To Paradise flotillas and you'll enjoy the expert guidance of a lead boat and a rum punch party at Bitter End Yacht Club. Then sail on to Jost Van Dyke, home to only 180 residents. Sail back to Cane Garden Bay, anchor, then navigate the island's rum distillery. But all sailors are certain to enjoy the spirited soul of every BVI adventure - the legendary Sir Francis Drake Channel.

Water SportsRedefining Our Most Popular Base

Our BVI Tortola base just keeps getting better. A multi-million-dollar facelift includes new dockside dining areas, a complete makeover of the bar and restaurant, an expanded pool area, and a new grocery store and customer service center. The base has everything to make your sailing vacation perfect!
