OCSC's "Seamanship II" seminar/study hall
This is the second of a three-part seamanship series where you'll learn the rest of the important seamanship concepts needed for skippering a boat safely on San Francisco Bay. This course has the last of the answers the eternal question, "What now, skipper?"
Topics covered:
- Skipper responsibilities
- How to effectively lead harbor/marina procedures
- Handling emergencies (vessel grounding, vessel taking on water, rigging or engine problems, steering problems, medical emergencies, other mariners in distress)
- Anchors and anchorages
- Introduction to Bay Area weather

Prerequisites:
Seamanship I or equivalent experience.
